City slicker is an Actim climber

Birmingham City striker Mauro Zarate was the biggest mover in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League, after his two-goal salvo in the vital victory over Manchester City.

The Argentine took his tally to three goals in two games - converting both attempts on target - to move 67 places to 332nd in the Index with 76 points.

Making 12 passes and producing one dribble also contributed to his 46-point haul from the game, his best score of the season, which saw him earn a place in the Team of the Week.

Blues have three players in the top 100, with Sebastian Larsson (325), Maik Taylor (279) and Liam Ridgewell (275) sitting 59th, 85th and 89th respectively.

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
