'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Fletcher move says Blues boss

Alex McLeish has spoken about reports linking Birmingham in a move for Darren Fletcher from Manchester United.

There doesn`t appear to be any truth in the reports, the manager has totally refuted the speculation.

Fletcher has been linked with a loan move to St Andrews before, that was back in January but McLeish says there is no chance of a permanent move for the player now as they just don`t have the money.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail McLeish said: 'We don't have money for players like Darren, no way do I think we could do a deal like that.

'It would be too much for us, we don't have the capacity for a deal of that magnitude.'
