McLeish set to bring inmore talent

Birmingham manager Alex McLeish is looking to bring in at least one more player before the transfer window closes.

Blues have started well beating Sheffield United at home and Southampton away, plus a convincing 4-0 win over Wycombe in the league cup, but McLeish wants more strength and depth.

He told the club's official website: 'I'm hoping to do at least one transfer before the end of the window, but if I could get two it would give us a bit more security.

'There will also be opportunities to loan, but I would prefer to take in players that are tried and trusted rather than a loan that's tipped as one for the future and I'm not sure about, unless it's coming from a source that I have great respect for.

'That's my game plan.'
