Sturrock proud of his side despite loss

Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock was disappointed that his side got nothing from the game with Birmingham on Tuesday, but he was pleased with the way that his team performed.

He said: 'If there is a good way losing then we have just played 90 minutes how you would like it to happen.

'I am gutted for the players, but I am proud of every one of them this evening.

'They gave everything they had and they played to the shape we wanted and the style we wanted.

'It seemed to obviously benefit us and if we were to keep performing like that, on a regular basis, we would win a lot more than we would lose.'
