Thanks to the local authority and who ever I missed the first ten minutes of the match. Why the kick off was not delayed with thousands outside was unbelievable. In effect the game was over by the time I got inside. Blues after 5 minutes were looking at scoring a two month goal ration to get in the game.
To be fair the 32 minutes I saw before Crouch netted his second wasn’t bad. Blues then allowed Luis Garcia to wriggle past two defenders. Taylor had the opportunity to take man and ball over the main stand but chose to admire the footwork. The ball broke to the big England forward who shovelled it past Maik Taylor in his own inimitable style.
Bruce whipped off Taylor and replaced him with Tebily at half time. Liverpool just picked us of like pulling wings off a daddy long legs. Gerrard with the freedom of the borough picked out Morientes who netted with his first touch. Riise fired a 25 yarder that Taylor never saw. Kewell out paced Melchiot and crossed for Tebily to turn into his own net. Cisse then exploiting the right side that had been open all night and fired under Taylor who should have done better.
Relatively the crowd were subdued probably because when they heard the team announced they suspected they were in for a drubbing. They, unlike the manager Bruce they were not shocked. This has been coming and no-one was surprised.
As much as I like Steve Bruce as a person as a friend I would say don’t hang around to be fired. Do the honourable thing.
Trevor Francis took a 6-0 drubbing, won the next game away and then got sacked. Blues fans would take that now.

It always makes me chuckle when the number 7 get written next to the word as if in disbelif!!!

Six of the best was considered a hiding at school, but seven that is punishment with a capital P.
pompeygray
And Bruce is laughing above the 7 (Seven).
pompeygray
i feel really sorry 4 you guys as you have a decent team with Dunn Forsell and an Arsenal old boy Jermaine Pennant but theres no togetherness in that team. your get up and go, has got up and left.
itsup4grabsnow
The seven is a tribute to the old BBC teleprinter.

There is not much you can say about the result except that it was a fair result on the night with the only 'team' on the pitch winning. We have no ideas, no tactics, no spark... all of that deserted the Blues when Mark Bowen left. Things have gone downhill with the coaching staff we have now, and have been heading that way since they arrived. Something is seriously wrong and needs to change ASAP.

And I thought we were bad... Wonder how many of you had the nerve to go into work today! :)
deanovilla
Deano you are right you are bad. I am at work saying I told you so. That's the difference between us You think your bad we know we are. Be gratefull that if you were as Bad as we are Deadly would have acted by now.
BigAl
Deano... I assume you went to school to laugh with your mates. Did you after losing 3-0 to Doncaster (who I might add are in League 1 and not European Champions)? Why wouldnt we go in to work? Did we (as fans in the stands) not perform well last night and get humiliated? No, think you'll find that was the ones on the pitch. You are correct on one point though, yes, you are bad. We are just at a very low point at the moment and hopefully cant get any worse.
lil_blues_fan
that was a team in the final couple of weeks in the top league, we`ll pass you on our way back up!

As a Pompey Fan, my main concern is Pompey staying up. If it were at all possible, i would love to see Birmingham also stay, and Villa go down. i feel sorry for your fans as the team underforms, as we have been there ourselves. Remember how many you stuffed us by a few weeks back... Anyway, all the best, sorry it appears to be either us or you to join west brom and sunderland as i'd prefer the battle to be aginst Villa. As previously stated Villa have been poor year in year out for far too long, and although our undeperformance gifted them 3 points 3 weeks ago, their constant poor perfmormance means they should be beloww both pompey and Birmingham.
Terence
christ, makes your 5-0 drubbing of our lot look ancient history
paultsmouth
by the way the ref is a pompey fan
paultsmouth
u should get rid of brucey
pompeyboy
Ha Ha Ha
still skeggy
Keep Brucey and let him build your team up in the Championship. I just hope Pompey don't sign Pennant as he looks a bit of a Jonah going down with Leeds and now probably going down with Birmingham.

Surely the managers head is on the chopping block now , how long will this go on for ???
JACK_THE_LAD
I feel for you guys. We were beaten 6-0 twice this season and its horrible! You'll get through it though - I'm backing you to do United this weekend!
StockportJack
Oooh looks like I really did get your backs up. Heres hoping Chelsea can put 10 past you this weekend! ;)
deanovilla
Oh and dont worry, I'm sure the likes of Crewe, Hull and Luton will only put 3 past you next season so its not all bad news.
