Quashie set for Wolves loan deal

Just days after leaving Birmingham to head back to West Ham United, Nigel Quashie looks set to join Wolves on loan until the end of the season.

The experienced midfielder spent the maximum three months on an emergency loan at St Andrews but at the end of that period Blues boss Alex McLeish decided not to take the player on a permanent move.

But Mick McCarthy has pounced quickly to snap up the 30-year-old and he was at their Compton training ground on Thursday with a view to completing a move.
