'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Disappointed McLeish

Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish was disappointed that the game against Crystal Palace has been called off tonight.

McLeish was hoping that his side could carry on from where they left off after drawing with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday by picking up another valuable point or three.

But on the other hand he is pleased that his injured players will get the chance to fully recover.

'We would like to have built on the weekend's performance,' he told the club's official website.

'There were great signs there, certainly it was night and day between that game and the Blackpool game.

'I thought we created as much as we have away from home all season. The difference was that in those away games in the past that we have done well in and secured victories, we have taken the opportunities and you don't get many away from home.

'But in terms of injured players, maybe it allows them to get one step closer to fitness by the time we play Palace again.'

Nevermind you can lose to the Clarets instead this Saturday!! lol I think we can shade this one although a draw is more likely. I am glad we have hit a winning streak again, should give us confidence at St Andrews. Brum fans are welcome to disagree over on Vital Burnley and banter with Clarets fans ahead of the game. We have a special Matchday Mayhem forum and you can cut&paste this link to get to thread: http://www.burnley.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=2976&posts=4&mid=12362#M12362 We Will Win Brum,Brum!!
