'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McSheffrey goes to Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have signed Blues forward Gary McSheffrey on an initial month`s loan period.

The 26-year-old has not featured too much for Birmingham this season due to a knee injury.

Forest boss Billy Davies told the club's official website: 'He's a player I've admired for several years. He's a major threat as both a creator and scorer of goals and I'm sure he'll be a great acquisition for us.

'It's a fresh challenge for him coming to the City Ground and I'm very much looking forward to working with him over the course of the next month.'

McSheffrey moved to St Andrew's in August 2006.
