McLeish forwards Shroot for loan deals

McLeish forwards Shroot for loan deals

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has again made youngster Robin Shroot available for loan next season.

The 21 year old midfielder had a successful loan spell with Walsall last season and the boss feels that another spell out at another club can only do the youngster good.

The player joined Blues from non-league Harrow in January, but failed to make an impact in McLeish's promotion-winning side, notching up just one appearance.

'Robin needs to go out somewhere on loan next season to get league experience,' McLeish told the club's official website.

'We took him him from non-league football so he's unproven in league football, but he's a good footballer.

'I'd like to see him getting regular football and we will circulate his details with a view to him going out on a six-month loan, preferably to the Championship, League One, or maybe Scotland.'
