McLeish signs up Carr on two year deal

Full-back Stephen Carr has put pen to paper on a new deal with Birmingham that will keep him at St Andrews until 2011.

The 32-year-old came out of retirement to play for Blues on a short term deal in February but has impressed the boss enough to want to make the deal permanent.

McLeish told Blues' website: 'His hunger has been superb. He's fully motivated with the kind of quality that counts in the Premier League.'

One minute you are sat on your arse watching Loose Women, next you are playing for Birmingham. Funny how things work out
