Former Blue Peschisolido takes over at Burton

Former Blues striker Paul Peschisolido has been appointed as manager of league new boys Burton Albion.

The Canadian takes over from temporary manager Roy McFarland and brings in Gary Rowett as his assistant.

Burton chairman Ben Robinson told the club's website: 'We were looking for a manager with league experience but we have been very impressed with Paul and Gary.'

Wondered what had happened to him...

As a follower of both teams I have mixed emotions on this, but I am looking at it more from a Burton supporter and I am not entirely happy about this. We were told that there were a lot of candidates for the Burton Manger job, many with experience higher than League 2, so it was a bit of a surprise to see Paul Peschisolido named as manager. He has very little experience in a managerial role, just as an assistant to St. Patricks Athletic, which is currently sitting in 7th in the Irish Premier League. So I am a little worried, but Ben Robinson sees something in him, he also gave Neil Warnock and Nigel Clough jobs, so maybe Peschisolido could be his third gem.
