Leicester set to bid for striker Phillips?

Leicester City are preparing to put in a bid for Blues striker Kevin Phillips acccording to the Daily Mirror this morning.

The newspaper reports that Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is preparing a bid of around the 750,000 mark as he looks to improve his strikeforce for the Championship.

Former England star Phillips, 36, was Birmingham's top goalscorer last season with 13 strikes, but he was unhappy at Alex McLeish's squad rotation policy.
