Blues move closer to landing O'Shea.

Birmingham are a step nearer to bringing in Republic of Ireland under 21 international Jay O'Shea after agreeing a fee with Galway United.

The right sided midfielder who can also act as a striker will come to Birmingham to take a medical and hold talks about personal terms.

The 20 year old found the net 10 times for Galway last season and as also been captain of the side.

He joined Galway in December 2007 from Bray Wanderers.

A statement on Birmingham's official website said: 'Blues have today agreed a fee with Galway United for Republic of Ireland Under 21 star James O'Shea.'
