'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Larsson speaks out to comfirm commitment

Sebastian Larsson has finally confirmed he is set to stay with Birmingham.

Contrary to speculation, it`s been widely expected that the winger would leave blues, if not this summer, then at some point in the future. His agent has continuously speculated and hinted the young age was willing to look elsewhere to forward his international hopes.

Despite delaying talking with the club, Jerome confirmed he believed Seb would be staying, Larsson has revealed discussions are now underway.

'Nothing is done yet,' Larsson told Fotbollskanalen. 'I was offered a contract this spring but the timing and the circumstances weren't the best.

'We have now started new discussions, so we will see where we end up. There is no stress from any side. We want the same thing in the end.'

Considering how Super Seb started last season, clearly distracted; I for one would like to limit the amount of pressure and distractions placed on him this year.

Good to see him doing well. I really liked him when he was with us, just a shame he didn't quite have the quality for top 4 - but still a very good player.

He's definitely a good quality for a club of Birmingham's expectations
