Blues vs Stoke: Early team news

Birmingham City face Stoke City at St Andrews on Saturday afternoon and Alex McLeish will give late checks to left back Gregory Vignal and striker Cameron Jerome before finalising his team.

Vignal and Jerome have hip and ankle injuries that they picked up in the game against Portsmouth in midweek.

Stuart Parnaby is expected to step in for Vignal if he doesn`t make the squad while Christian Benitez a candidate to take over from Jerome should he fail to recover.

Midfielder Lee Bowyer is back in the squad after he completed a three match ban for the red card he picked up last season at Preston.

Birmingham (from): Hart, Carr, Queudrue, Roger Johnson, Vignal, Larsson, Ferguson, Fahey, McFadden, Jerome, O'Connor, Maik Taylor, Phillips, Benitez, McSheffrey, Parnaby, O'Shea, Carsley, Bowyer, Damien Johnson.
