'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Injured Duo Face Lengthy Spell Out

Birmingham City will be without James McFadden and Franck Queudrue for a while after both players picked up injuries in the 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday.

Both players have muscle tears, but no timescale has been set yet as to how long the pair will be missing.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, manager Alex McLeish said: 'We have lost Franck and McFadden for the foreseeable future.

'Both have muscle tears. I am not going to put any target dates on it at all.

'They will be back when they're back.

'It's not ideal, obviously, but we will just have to get on with it.

'It's up to the players who replace them to show what they can do.'
