Boyd Interest Is Confirmed

Birmingham manager Alex McLeish has confirmed that he is serious of bringing Rangers striker Kris Boyd to St Andrews.

Boyd is out of contract with the Scottish giants and the Blues boss has confirmed that the two clubs could strike a deal for the hotshot.

Boyd has played under McLeish when he was the manager of Scotland and in an ideal world he would like Boyd to sign a pre-contract before the end of the January transfer window.

McLeish said: 'I can't confirm we have made any offer for anyone. It is not fair to talk about players at other clubs. But Boyd is out of contract in the summer and it is possible we could do some business there - but I am not committing myself.''
