Ferguson Again Denies Being A Flop At Rovers
Birmingham midfielder Barry Ferguson has once again pointed out that he feels he was no flop when he played for Blackburn Rovers ahead of Blues trip to Ewood Park.
It`s 2005 since Ferguson last stepped foot on the Ewood Park pitch and he feels that the criticism he got when playing for Rovers was unjust.
The midfielder, who is having a good time at St Andrews at the moment, says that the main thing stopping him from playing his best at Blakburn was a knee injury.
Ferguson told Sky Sports: 'I was captain at Blackburn. I don't know why people have the perception that it didn't go well for me there.
'Maybe it was because I was injured. I had a bad knee injury but I came back and, when Graeme Souness left,Mark Hughes came in and I was still captain.
'I enjoyed my time at Blackburn and I thought I played well. I think if you asked Blackburn fans then they would agree.
'I think I gave everything I had and I made a lot of good friends as well.'
