Ridgewell Bigs Up Hart

Ridgewell Bigs Up Hart

As far as City star Liam Ridgewell is concerned, Blues on loan keeper Joe Hart must be the first on the list when the England squad is picked for the World Cup in the summer.

Much has been said about Hart this season and his performances have earned him praise from some of the beat players, he was also named as keeper in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

And Ridgewell believes that England would benefit immensely if Hart was in the squad.

Ridgewell told Sky Sports: 'Joe is a superb keeper. I am sure he will go to the World Cup.

'He is a great keeper with a great presence.

'If a team gets through you, they've still got to beat Joe and he has been fantastic.

'On form, he is the best English keeper at present. Definitely. I don't think anyone is playing as well as him.

'It would be no surprise to me if he started in the World Cup to be honest and he wouldn't let England down.'
