'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Birmingham City - Tilton Tattle - 1

Blues will officially reveal the new home and away kits for the 2006/07 (promotion winning) season tomorrow - Friday May 26. Fans will be able to pre-order the kits via Blues Online from May 29 onwards.

According to a report by Colin Tattum in the Birmingham Mail, Blues will renew their interest in Spurs defender Stephen Kelly. The 22-year-old right back, who has said he wants to play regular football and will need to move on from White Hart Lane, is seen as an ideal replacement for Mario Melchiot. Kelly said: 'For me, I need first-team football and need to play regularly whether that is at Tottenham or maybe somewhere else.'

Reports that Spurs midfielder Dean Marney is also a target are apparently wide of the mark though.

David Gold has said they don't need to sell their key players: 'Imagine the impact the likes of Emile Heskey, Jermaine Pennant, Mikael Forssell and a fit David Dunn would have as an attacking force for us next season? We have let players go and four or five will be coming in but do not have to sell people like Emile and Jermaine. Obviously, they would prefer to stay in the Premiership. That's where we would prefer to be.' For more on this Click Here

Birmingham City have announced another pre-season friendly, this time with Nationwide Conference team Burton Albion. The match against Nigel Clough's boys, at the Pirelli Stadium, will be played on Saturday July 8, kick-off 3pm. According to the official site, the proposed match against Boston United, which reports yesterday claimed would be played on Saturday 29th July, has yet to be confirmed but Spurs will definitely be visiting St Andrews.

Lunt said, in a very revealing interview: 'I am not sure what I am doing yet. My agent has spoken to a few clubs and I will take a couple of weeks to think about my options.'

David O'Dreary has been linked to a cross city move for Blues midfielder Julian Gray after Gareth Barry was linked to Tottenham Hotspurs. For more information Click Here
