Jermaine Pennant To Liverpool?

Jermaine Pennant To Liverpool?

Jermaine Pennant who has said several times that he is happy to stay and fight to get back into the Premiership with Birmingham City, has again been linked to a Saint Andrews exit.

This time The Mirror claim that Raffa Benitez is keen to take him to Anfield to link up with the Liverpool squad. The report claims a bid of around £3.5million will be forthcoming.

I hope this isn't true and you would have to ask why would Blues sell one young protégée when we have just brought in another to help build the squad for the future?

Pennant was signed last July following a successful loan spell having already had loans (from Arsenal) at Watford and Leeds.

Our latest poll asks if we should sell Pennant.

No one has said he is going yet, he has said he would be prepared to stay and fight and the chairman has told the manager that he is under no pressure to sell.
