Foster Deal Confirmed Complete

It has been confirmed this afternoon that Birmingham City have completed the signing of goalkeeper Ben Foster on a three-year deal.

The 27-year-old arrives on a deal thought to be around the £6million mark after spending the last five years at Old Trafford.

Foster has had his share of bad luck, losing his place in the first team to Edwin van der Sar and being unable to win it back, lack of first team appearances also cost him his England place, although he did make a couple of gaffs.

The keeper now has to step up to the plate and fill the boots of Joe Hart who has returned to Manchester City after an utterly successful loan spell with the club.

Good goalkeeper, but just makes the odd mistake when you really needed him not to, but if he gets the coaching that Joe Hart did, he may improve, but a really good signing.
