Zigic Cant Hide His Delight Over Blues Move

Zigic Cant Hide His Delight Over Blues Move

Birmingham City`s new striker Nikola Zigic could not hide his delight after signing for Blues.

The 29 year old completed a four year deal with the St Andrews outfit which is believed to have cost the club somewhere in the region of £6 million.

After helping Racing Santander escape relegation while on loan last season, Zigic admitted that he jumped at the chance of getting into the English Premier league and he is glad it is City that he has joined.

'I am absolutely delighted to be at Birmingham. Playing in the Premier League is something I have always wanted to do,' he told Sky Sports.

'It will be a super experience and I'm thoroughly looking forward to it.

'I've been watching the Premier League for many years, it's something I've always followed and kept up to date with.

'What really swayed me to join Birmingham was the potential of playing for such a big club in the Premier League and the potential of playing in Europe and it was an opportunity I couldn't turn down.

'I am delighted to get the deal done so quickly.'

'The potential for playing in Europe'.... ha ha ha ha. This guy got the wrong team in Birmingham. Bit like Robinho at Man City. Funniest thing I've heard in years.

looks a decent signing to me as long as your midfield doesn't fall into the trap of lumping the ball to him as many teams do when they get big players (eg to Crouch)

JJ McDuff your the thick bluenose, i havent said ive watched him in one game? ive saw him in a lot over the years for all 3 clubs and he is good in the air but footwork and work effort is awful, but i think its been addressed that we didnt call his agent just some jeolous bluenoses trying to stir up trouble to get 1 over on us because they cant do it on the pitch (:
