51% Say Pennant Should Be Kept

51% Say Pennant Should Be Kept

We asked over the weekend whether Jermaine Pennant should be sold following several reports linking him to Liverpool amongst others. Despite the fact the board have told Steve Bruce that they don't have to sell any players, all will depend on what the players themselves want. Would Jermaine really stay and fight in the Championship if a good Premiership offer was forthcoming?

51% said that we should keep him and build the team around him. 39% said he should be sold if he can raise £3.5million and the remaining 10% voted for him to be sold but only if the fee is more than £5million.

I would hope that we keep him for one more season if we are serious about bouncing straight back up to the Premiership.

I would doubt it, most of these players want to play in the Premiership and not many clubs bigger than Liverpool. Andy Johnson was an example to all though, sticking by Palace for one season to at least give them a chance.
