West Ham Rumoured Target?

According to clubcall, Birmingham City defender Matthew Upson is a target for West Ham United.

Sounds like a wild rumour to me as the 27-year-old defender is out with a ruptured achilles and isn't expected back until October.

The former Arsenal man is under contract until 2008 but the report claims Alan Pardew is looking to add him to the Hammers squad.
