'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Damn, Danns Is Leaving.

Colchester manager Phil Parkinson has told their official site that he is already looking for possible replacements for Blues target Neil Danns.

Parkinson said: 'We have made every effort to keep Neil here and will obviously be disappointed to lose him, both as a player and character around the place.'

The 23-year-old midfielder helped his team with promotion to the Championship with 16 goals but Colchester are resigned to losing him.

'I will be the first to shake his hand should he leave - he has been fantastic during the time he's been here, but this move could also work in our favour, with me being able to bring in other players as a result. I've been making contingency plans for this happening and I'm already in talks with players that could replace Neil for next season,'

Reports say that Blues are in pole position to sign Danns with one suggesting the deal could be completed this week.

Lets hope the move is wrapped up quickly, even half that goal ratio from midfield next season would be very useful.
