Mphela Looking For Blues Move

Mphela Looking For Blues Move

South Africa striker Katlego Mphela is hoping that he can secure a move to St Andrews this summer.

Blues are thought to be interested in the 25 year old after he put in some good displays for Bafana Bafana in the World Cup.

Mphela showed his quality when he grabbed a goal against France when the two teams met on Tuesday, he is also the top scorer in the South African top division.

'I'm focused now on going overseas,' he said in the Birmingham Mail.

'I didn't want to think about it during the World Cup, but now it becomes my focus.

'I don't think I want to play PSL again. It is time to move on.

'I spoke to my manager and I understand Birmingham are still interested and want me to come over.

'We'll just wait for the details to be sorted out as to when I will go over, but I don't want to wait. I want to go now while I am in form and ready.'

Just because he scores a few goals in a league where they use rolled up newspaper for balls, doesn't make him good. No thanks, stay where you are

It is actually a highly defensive league where goals are generally few and far between...so as top scorer there he's actually decent by the looks of it.
