Blues Youngster Off North Of The Border?

Blues young winger Robin Shroot looks like he could be going north of the border for a loan spell.

Shroot is a promising prospect and impressed when on loan to Burton last season.

And although the player looks to have a future at St Andrews, Alex McLeish feels that more time spent out on loan can only do the Shroot a power of good.

"Robin will feel he needs more league experience. He was at Burton for a wee while but it`s been difficult to get him out anywhere else," McLeish told the Birmingham Mail.

"He was injured the last few weeks of the season and I think it could go right to the wire whether he`d be ready for pre-season again.

"I`ve thought about Robin going out for league experience next year and possibly to Scotland. I`ve suggested that as a way forward for him.

"I think he`d do well in Scotland and I think it would be good for him to get some consistency from games".

Never seen this lad play but McLeish thinks a lot of him. Hope he does well.
