Jerome Will Push Us To Premiership

Birmingham City have sealed the move for Cardiff striker Cameron Jerome for a fee of £3million that could rise to £4million with two £500 000 payments depending on conditions set for his performances and appearances.

The 19-year-old, who was Cardiff's top scorer last season with 20 goals, has signed a 4-year-deal.

Jerome told BCFC.com 'Birmingham are a massive club and it's a big opportunity for me.' And 'I want to help us get back up to the Premiership because that is where this club belongs. That is why I have come here because my ambition is to play in the Premier League and I want to do that with Birmingham City.'

He hopes to bring the 20 goal form of last season and pick up where he left off last season adding 'I have reasonably good pace. I am pretty strong and a natural all-round athlete.'

He also backs up David Gold who last week said that the manager was good at attracting players to Birmingham City.

'Steve Bruce is a very good manager as everyone knows and I admire him a lot. I have done so since I was a kid because I supported Manchester United. I spoke to him and realised that this would be another step up the ladder for me at such a young age.'

The Vital Cardiff editor seems to believe that the move is good for all parties and wishes Jerome luck.
