Vignal Has Blades Trial

Recently released full-back Gregory Vignal is training with Sheffield United in the hope of finding another club before the start of the new season.

The Frenchman has been left in the wilderness after being told by the Blues that he was surplus to requirements at the end of last season.

But the 28 year old made just nine appearances for City last term because of injuries, leaving the club with no option but to offload after just a year long stay at St Andrews.

Blades boss Kevin Blackwell will look at the Frenchman closely in training over the coming days.
