No Blues Move For Gallas

Birmingham manager Alex McLeish has said that the rumours linking him with a move for William Gallas are well wide of the mark.

Gallas is a free agent after leaving Arsenal, but McLeish insists that the player is not nor ever has been one of his targets.

'No, definitely not,' McLeish told Sky Sports News.

'I have got two young centre-halves and it's not the right move for me. I need to spend the club's money on other positions that we really need to improve.'

He would want stupid wages anyway, he would have been on a good whack at Arsenal
