Doyle Recalled To St Andrews

Birmingham City goalkeeper Colin Doyle had a very short stay at Coventry City on-loan after having to be re-called to St Andrews due to a back injury suffered by Ben Foster.

Foster looked set to pick up another England cap against Hungary at Wembley tonight, but injury has ruled him out.

And although Birmingham have not yet ruled Foster out of the Premier League opener against Sunderland on Saturday, they had no choice but to recall Doyle as they are short of cover. But they will know the extent of the injury within the next 24 hours.

Doyle only joined Coventry yesterday on a one-month deal, his debut was not a successful one with the Sky Blues going out of the Carling Cup 2-0 to Morecambe.
