'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blues Miss Out On Two Possible Signings

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish will not be bringing in Moussa Dembele and the same goes for Mauro Camoranesi.

But McLeish does remain optimistic that new players will be arriving soon despite missing these targets.

Striker Dembele looked odds on to sign for Blues in a 5 million deal although Both West Ham and West Brom were also interested.

But McLeish said: 'Dembele has got other options and he is choosing another option. His representative had told me that.

'It is a blow because we have worked hard on that one - but that's life.'

As regards Juventus veteran Camoranesi, McLeish said: 'I have always been a big admirer but negotiations became protracted and I had a further think.

'I decided it was not quite the way forward for Birmingham at this particular time.'
