'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blues Battle For David Weir

The Blues and the Baggies are nose to nose in the chase for Everton's veteran centre half.

The 36 year old player is now a free agent after being released by the Merseyside club and has already held talks with both clubs, despite also being offered a further 12 month contract with Everton.

Talking on the player Steve Bruce said:

'Defensively, look at Malky Mackay at Watford, Craig Short at Sheffield United, two of the promoted clubs, if you can get good experience and good pros in those positions, it's vital.'

Maybe Steve Bruce and Bryan Robson should fight for him? I would buy a ticket to see that one.

Can just imagine the tv executives having a field day over that idea. You would have to back Bruce in that contest.

I would pay thousands to see Robson and Bruce ahve a fight. Who do you think would win? I'd put my money on Robson! He'd be a good signing if you can get him
