Blues Let Bent Go On Loan To Wolves

Blues Let Bent Go On Loan To Wolves

Birmingham City have let striker Marcus Bent go out and join fellow Premiership side Wolves on a four month loan spell.

The 32 year old will help Wolves fill the hole left by Andy Keogh who has gone out on loan to Cardiff City for the season.

Chances for Bent to get first team football at St Andrews have shortened since the arrival of Nikola Zigic and Matty Derbyshire.

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey said: 'Marcus is an experienced striker who has played plenty of Premier League football and scored goals.

'People still talk about whether we've got enough Premier League experience, and Marcus will add to that.

'He's also a different type of striker to what we have in that he's a physical presence. We needed someone after the departure of Andy Keogh and Marcus can do a job for us.'
