McLeish Captures Jean Beausejour

Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish made his third signing of the day late on when he successfully captured Chile international Jean Beausejour on a three-year deal.

The 26 year old arrives at St Andrews for an undisclosed fee from Club America in Mexico.

All in all a very good day for Blues with Beausejour, Martin Jiranek and Alexander Hleb all joining the club, making them on paper at least, a very good looking side indeed.

McLeish told the club`s website: 'Beausejour is an excellent, left-sided midfielder who had a tremendous World Cup with Chile - he was their star player against Spain - and also played very well in a pre-season friendly against Manchester City recently.

'He has been on our list of targets for a long time because he is strong and quick with the ability to beat his man and get crosses in.'
