Blues Open Davenport Talks

The Birmingham Mail have revealed that Blues have opened talks with Spurs over defender Calum Davenport.

The £1.5 million rated defender is looking towards a move in order to revive his career following limited opportunities at Spurs - however the paper rubbish reports that the transfer to Blues will be imminent.

Other clubs are also expressing an interest in the 23 year old including Celtic, Charlton Athletic and Reading. Wolves are also linked as they have the Lescott money burning a hole in their nice stadium.

not really sure with him, looked fairly decent when he came into the side if you ask me, but you never know at spurs who's coming and going! i personally think they'll persevere with him, but what do i know!

Not sure he'll ever be worth 10m but he'll certainly be a good buy for the blues if they can get him. S.B. is certainly not hanging around in getting you ready for next seasons assault is he?
