Steve Bruce Was The Reason

Steve Bruce Was The Reason

In an interview in Birmingham City's 'Blues' magazine, Cameron Jerome says that Steve Bruce was the reason he joined from Cardiff.

He told the magazine 'To be honest I didn't take much convincing to move here after I spoke to Steve as he was one of my heroes. Nevertheless I still spoke to my family for their advice and then I came and had a look round the club, the training facilities, the city - and everything felt right.'

'I also asked my Cardiff team mate, Darren Purse, for his opinion and he couldn't speak highly enough about the club. He said it was a really good club, a big club and that he enjoyed his time here...but for me the opportunity to move to Birmingham has come at the right time in my career.'

He goes on to say he is excited about the prospect of playing with the likes of Emile Heskey (if Wigan don't grab him!) and Mikael Forssell as he believes they will help him to develop.

The magazine is on sale in the shops now.

It'll be interesting! Birmingham wont have a bad attacking line next season if Heskey stays - Him and Jerome will be a handful !

Lets hope he still rates Bruce at the end of this season and that leads us to promotion.
