'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Boss Pleased For Zigic

Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish was pleased to see his striker Nikola Zigic break his Premier League duck and get his first goal at Arsenal on Saturday.

Zigic used all his height and more to tower over the Arsenal defence and head home the opening goal at the Emirates Stadium.

'He has struggled with the speed and aggression of the game in England, so it has been difficult for him,' said McLeish.

'Today was a much more improved performance and he scored a terrific goal.

'We are looking more dangerous and know we need to kick off our season against Blackpool next week, but this game was good for the confidence.'
