Danns Signed and Sealed

As expected, but after some negotiations, Blues have finally concluded the deal with Colchester for midfielder Neil Danns.

The deal struck between the clubs could rise to as much as £850,000 according to the official site, but the initial fee for the player is £500,000.

Danns is set to undergo a medical later this afternoon and tonight all being well will put pen to paper on a three year deal.

Manager Steve Bruce speaking on the official site said:

'We are delighted to capture the services of such an exciting young player.

'Neil scored 13 times last season for Colchester which is an excellent return for a midfielder.

'He plays with a tremendous commitment and energy and we are sure he will be a huge asset to our team.'

Crikey !! That took it's time didn't it? Was it down to Birmingham trying to haggle over a mere £ 1/4 million? Still, you have him now, so all done and dusted.
