Ipswich Move For Clapham

Ipswich Move For Clapham

Released defender Jamie Clapham could be set for a move to Portman Road following praise from boss Jim Magilton.

Clapham was released following our relegation to the Championship and Ipswich boss Magilton told press:

'Jamie possesses a lot of the qualities that we are interested in but there has been no contact with him.

"It all depends on certain factors and any manager's first signing is important. We are doing our homework, you can be sure of that."

The 30 year old made 240 appearances for Ipswich before he joined us in January 2003.
