No Rush To Get McFadden Back

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish will not be rushing striker James McFadden back into action until he is 100% ready to come back from his cruciate ligament injury.

McFadden suffered the injury back at the start of September but he has been making good progress on the training and fitness front.

But McLeish knows that it is a massive risk to bring a player back too early, which is something he is not prepared to do.

He said: 'The progress Faddy has made, you are thinking 'wow, he's going to be back quick, back before Christmas'.

'But you have to be careful and put the reins on a wee bit and let things heal properly.

'The actual rejoining of the cruciate actually has to take time to heal.'
