McLeish Has No Fears On Home Soil

Blues boss Alex McLeish fears no club when his side are playing at St Andrews.

For the last couple of years, St Andrews has not been a fun trip for visiting sides and so far this time around only Everton have taken all the points.

A goal from Lee Bowyer was enough to beat champions Chelsea and just this week they have beaten Aston Villa, sending them reeling out of the Carling Cup at the quarter final stage.

"I`m not sure what the bookies odds were when we played Chelsea, but people were telling me we were favourites that week," McLeish told the Birmingham Post.

"I had to try and lower expectations a little bit then.

"If we`ve got an opportunity at St Andrew's then we`ll fancy our chances. We always feel that it`s achievable to beat the opposition when we`re here at St Andrew`s."
