Stoke City are interested in signing Seb Larsson when the transfer window opens, but they face competition from abroad or City might just keep him.
According to his agent, Larsson could well be on his way out of Birmingham, he has not signed a new deal yet and he is out of contract in the summer.
This could all be put on to get a better offer out of Blues, but obviously they would sooner cash in on the midfielder rather than lose him on a free.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis is sniffing around if reports are to be believed as they eye up a replacement for Jermaine Pennant. However Larsson's agent Per Jonsson claims Stoke have not contacted him about the player, but several clubs in Europe have.
He said: 'Seb likes to be in England, but Spain and Italy are good countries to be in and I know clubs there have been watching him.
'I know they have followed him this season and liked what they have seen.
'There are a lot of clubs that like him, but we have not discussed anything with other clubs. I really don't know what will happen in January.'
On the chances of him staying with City, Jonsson added: 'Birmingham have had the chance for a long time to leave an offer. They have left something, but it is not good enough.'
