Blues and Villa After Robbie Keane

Blues and Villa After Robbie Keane

Birmingham and Aston Villa are set to go head to head to try and acquire the services of Tottenham striker Robbie Keane according to reports.

It`s not the first time that Blues boss Alex McLeish has been linked with the 30 year old, he was last interested in the summer, but the player decided to stop in London and fight for his place in the side.

Keane has hardly got a look in so far this season and manager Harry Redknapp has said that he is willing to listen to offers.

That has resulted in several clubs being linked with a bid for the player, with the Blues one of the front-runners following McLeish's confirmation that he wants to freshen up St Andrews in the New Year.

£8 million is the asking price, but both clubs are said to be willing to offer 6.
