Nafti To Join Up Late

Tunisian World Cup star, Mehdi Nafti will join the team for preseason training next month, giving him time to recover from a slight knee knock.

The midfielder limped off during the Ukraine game that saw Tunisia exit the tournament.

His knee hasn't been seriously damaged however, and he's expected to be fine after a few days treatment and rest, which he will undergo in France where he has a home.

Following the extended break he will rejoin Brucie's squad in Spain to begin preseason training next month.

Speaking to the press, first team coach Eric Black said:

'Nafti's fine, his knee is OK, there was nothing major, he will be joining up with us over in Spain and he will be ready to go.'

'He hasn't yet completely recovered his old sharpness but he deserves a massive pat on the back for even being on that stage.'

The sun on his knee in Spain will do it good.
