Early Days, But Bid For Keane Accepted

Early Days, But Bid For Keane Accepted

Although it is early days, Blues have taken a step nearer to landing Tottenham`s Robbie Keane after the two sides agreed a fee for the player.

West Ham were looking to take the 30 year old on loan but Tottenham want to sell so Birmingham stepped in although West Ham manager Avram Grant is still hoping he can get the player into a claret and blue shirt.

'We have a few targets we want to bring in,' he said.

'It's not a secret that I am friends with Harry and I speak with him every couple of days. He (Keane) is a player we want to bring for sure. We are dealing with this.'

Birmingham have permission to hold talks with Keane after a reported offer of an initial £4 million with a further £2 million in add-ons accepted.
