'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Phillips On His Way Out Of St Andrews?

Sky Sports News are reporting that veteran striker Kevin Phillips is looking for a move away from Birmingham in an attempt to get first team action.

Phillips signed a one year contract in the summer but has only made a handful of substitute appearances; he has also been linked with a move to Celtic.

Things don`t look bright for Phillips at St Andrews, Matty Derbyshire is already above him in the pecking order and Alex McLeish is trying to bring in more firepower to the team.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Phillips said: 'It's frustrating, I'm disappointed.

'Who knows where my future lies, but if it's elsewhere, I'll look at it.

'I'm ready to come on (for Birmingham) and score goals if called upon.

'But the manager is in the window for another centre-forward and if we can bring in a top-quality one, I'm all for that.

'I'm in no rush to go anywhere but if the right move comes along and me and my family fancy it, then yes, I would look at it.'
