Marcus Bent Heads For Sheffield United

Birmingham City have offloaded striker Marcus Bent to Championship side Sheffield United on a loan deal that will last until the end of the season.

The 32 year old has not been able to claim a place in City`s side for quite some time, he went out on loan to Wolves in August, but even then could only make five appearances.

The Blades current manager, Mickey Adams may be able to get a little better out of the player as he was his manager when he was in charge of Leicester City.

In 1999 Bent was transferred to Bramhall Lane from Port Vale where he scored 20 goals in a year.

Pity he isn't going there on a full time basis, I'd drive him up there myself and give him his dinner money for every day he stays away
