'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gold and Co Won't Be Attending

West Ham co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold, along with vice-chairman Karren Brady will not be watching the Carling Cup semi final live from St Andrews tonight.

Sullivan and Gold ended a 16-year reign at Birmingham last season when they sold their stake to Carson Yeung and then eventually took charge of the Hammers.

Earlier in the season Gold was not allowed into the stadium for the league clash between the two sides after a fall out about what he had said to the media.

He was given the green light for Wednesday night`s clash, but he, Sullivan and Brady will not be at St Andrew's.

Sullivan said: 'None of us will be going to the game. I really don't want to offend anyone by not going but I can't face doing that journey back if we lose. If it wasn't on TV, we would all be there 100%.

'But I've done that long journey six or seven hundred times and I can't face getting back at 2am feeling depressed if we have lost. I'll be partying at home with my kids, like every West Ham United fan, if we go through.'
